Famous PeopleAdele, 34, first spoke in an interview with Desert Island Discs about the concerts in Las Vegas that she canceled at the last minute in January. “The show wasn’t good enough,” he appears in the interview. The singer also talked about her weight loss and her desire to have more children.
Barely a day before the scheduled start of a concert series in Las Vegas, Adele announced that the shows would not take place. She shared a video on social media: “The show isn’t over.” Since then, calm has reigned around the singer. But in an interview with Desert Island Discs, she has now spoken for the first time about the decision to cancel the shows. “Did I make the right decision? I don’t know,” Adele said. “Everyone was disappointed and I was devastated. I was so afraid of disappointing people. I really thought it would work, but it didn’t. And I stick with that decision.” According to the singer, there was a lot of interest in the story because no one else thought of canceling so close to the start date. “But you can’t buy me,” she continued. “I won’t bid just because I have to, or Because people will be disappointed or we will lose a lot of money.”
“The show wasn’t good enough,” she concluded. Although the singer wanted to emphasize that serious work is being done behind the scenes to get the show started and running again. “But I won’t give you an update when I don’t have anything to say, because that would only lead to more disappointment. Maybe that wasn’t well balanced, maybe my silence was deadly. But it was horrible. The reactions were so brutal. For months I was just I kept to myself. I just had to wait, grieve and let go of the guilt.”

In the interview, Adele also talked about her amazing weight loss. “I understand why the press was so fascinated by him,” he said. “I didn’t share my journey like others do. Most other people would have a DVD now. But I did it in silence, to myself.” Although she admitted that she regrets that other women who were a little plump, due to the weight loss and subsequent reactions, began to feel that they weren’t pretty enough. “Some people really felt betrayed,” Adele said. “They said, ‘Oh, she just gives in to the pressure.’ That didn’t really bother me, because you don’t hold my hand at 4 in the morning when I’m crying and I cry because I’m anxious and need a distraction. The exercises gave me that focus, gave me something to burn my energy and made me feel mentally stronger. By increasing my strength physically as well.”
Finally, the singer also revealed her dreams for the future. “I would love to have more children,” he said. “It would be great if that were possible. And if not, I have Angelo. I just want to be happy.” I have now found this happiness with Rich Paul. She said this encourages her to do what she wants to do. “He would always say to me, ‘What’s the worst that could happen? “The treatment also helped her find peace.” I am happy now. I make sure I don’t end up in stressful situations and choose the people in my life very carefully. I love being at home, I love hanging out and filtering closets. Being with my son, with my animals, with my friends. I’m happy quickly, it’s really about the little things.”
