If you own a Samsung smartphone, you may have received the 4G Update in the past few days. Older smartphones are also updated at this time.

Samsung 4G update is rolling out to many phones
Samsung is known for updating its smartphones for a relatively long time and often. The company also does not overlook old devices, even if they are five years old or more. The 4G update is now being released for many older phones. New devices from the Galaxy S and Galaxy A series are also being updated.
Interestingly, the update is available even for the Galaxy A5 (2017), the site said GalaxyClub. This smartphone is more than seven years old and has not been supported by Android version updates and security patches for some time, but it is now receiving a 4G update.
Samsung's 4G update is relatively small, but certainly not insignificant. The update ensures that your Samsung phone continues to work on all available mobile network frequencies – even abroad. It is therefore smart to download and install the patch as soon as you receive it. This way you can make sure that your device is working optimally if you have 4G internet.
As you probably know, you will automatically receive a notification when the update is available for your Samsung smartphone. Haven't received anything yet, but would like to check for yourself if you can download the software update? Open Settings, go to Software Update and click Download and Install. You will then automatically see whether the new software is available.
Samsung and updates
If you buy a smartphone or tablet from Samsung, you can generally count on their support for a long time. A good example of this is the Galaxy S24 series, which has been receiving no less than seven years of updates. Support for other Galaxy S and Galaxy A devices ends early, although they will continue to receive updates for about five years. The more affordable Galaxy A55, A54, A35, and A34 are also a good idea to use right now.
