Amazon Games launches the new Tomb Raider game – Games – News

Amazon Games is set to publish the upcoming Tomb Raider game. The game is currently still under development and is being manufactured by Crystal Dynamics. It is not yet known when exactly the game should be released.

In a joint press release Amazon Games and Crystal Dynamics claim that the game will be “the largest and most comprehensive Tomb Raider game to date.” As with previous Tomb Raider games, the game will feature “mind-bending puzzles”. In addition, a “wide range of enemies” will be added. The companies provide few additional details about the game, which is still in its early stages of development. It was previously announced that the new Tomb Raider will be made in Unreal Engine 5.

The previous game in the series, Shadow of The Tomb Raider, was released in 2018 for Windows, Linux, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Previous Tomb Raider games have been published by Square Enix. The publisher acquired Eidos Interactive in 2009, which owned Crystal Dynamics. Earlier this year, Crystal Dynamics, Eidos-Montréal, and Square Enix Montreal came out Sold to the Embracer group. The Swedish company also assumed the intellectual property of the studios.
