televisionAmerica’s Got Talent nominee Jane Marshevsky has died at the age of 31 after a battle with cancer. Her family confirms this to the American media. Jane received another Golden Buzzer from Simon Cowell (62) during her audition and was named one of the biggest favorites of the season. But Jane had to leave the competition early to focus on her treatment, and the singer was excited about this.
“We, her family, are devastated by her death and this unimaginable loss,” Marshovsky’s family said in a statement. According to her loved ones, Jane battled cancer for nearly four years, but the battle finally became too much for her on February 19. “Those who knew her loved her larger-than-life personality and sense of humor. She had a witty joke on every occasion, even if jokes were about her. Her lasting legacy will be the ‘gift of hope’ she gave to many through her music and the strength she found in Jesus. We thank everyone For messages of love and support.
Jane competed on America’s Got Talent under the stage name Nightbirde and was saddened that she had to leave the competition early. During the audition rounds for the 16th season, the singer took her chance with her own song “It’s Fine”, in which her health issues were widely discussed. She sang that she had cancer, but it’s important for everyone to know “we are so much more than the bad things that happen to us.”
“The last time I went for a scan, I had cancer in my lungs, spine, and liver. I have a 2 percent chance of surviving, but 2 percent is not a zero percent. Two percent is something.” Jane managed to impress the whole jury and all viewers with her performance. Simon Cowell was so impressed that he immediately rewarded the performance with a golden bell. In the weeks that followed, the singers continued to become the most favorite of many viewers, although unfortunately fate had his “unfavorable role” at Marczewski’s. Because the cancer is suddenly back in full force and in order to be able to put all her energy into fighting the disease, Jane had to quit the talent show.
‘Thank you for all the support’
“Sharing my heart with the world during ‘AGT’ was an honor and a dream come true,” she wrote on social media at the time. “The point I was in this summer was great. What a miracle the pain I’ve been through can turn into something beautiful, allowing people all over the world to open their eyes wider. My health has deteriorated since getting tested, and this fight against cancer It consumes all my energy and attention. I feel so sad that I have to report that I can’t continue this season. Life doesn’t always give breath to those who deserve it, but we already knew that.”
The singer – who confirmed that she would fight to the last gasp – also wanted to thank all her fans. “Thank you for all your support, it means everything to me,” she wrote. “Stay with me, I will be better soon. I am planning my future, not my legacy. I am in very bad shape, but I still have dreams.” “You will miss your energy, your smile and your great voice during the live performances,” Sofia Vergara wrote on Instagram, which was also shared by the judges for “America’s Got Talent.” And Heidi Klum also entered in her pen: “The entire ‘AGT’ family loves you and we all root for you,” she wrote at the time with many hearts.
