The Mercato lurks just around the corner in the distance and of course several players are linked with transfers. The name RSC Anderlecht is also mentioned regularly. English Express & Star connects Brussels residents with a player from Dutch club AZ.
Owusu Oduro remains on Anderlecht's radar
Anderlecht have been linked (again) with Roma's Dutch goalkeeper Jayden Owusu-Oduro. His name was also in circulation at Lotto Park in January, but the young goalkeeper has since signed a new contract until mid-2028 at Alkmaar.
According to the British newspaper, Anderlecht is still fascinated by him, but Chelsea and Wolverhampton are also keen on signing him. The player's market value is 900,000 euros, and he is an international player with the Netherlands U-21 national team.
What about Kasper Schmeichel?
The young goalkeeper is Arizona's No. 2 goalkeeper, as they will no doubt be willing to let him leave with a very high offer. At Anderlecht, the situation remains uncertain. Kasper Schmeichel has reached the end of his contract and there is an option for another year if both parties want to continue working together.
The Dane is having a very strong season and is very stable under the bar, but he is already 37 years old. Mads Keckenborg was signed in January, but do they really consider him a first-choice goalkeeper? The chances of Anderlecht being sold to Arizona appear to be very slim.
