RSC Anderlecht continue to focus on the arrival of Gustavo Puerta. Jesper Fredberg has already made an offer to Bayer 04 Leverkusen.
We previously wrote that RSC Anderlecht are particularly interested in Gustavo Puerta. The 21-year-old Colombian seems to be the perfect fit in their search for a playmaker.
According to German media, Anderlecht has made a first offer to the German champions. Jesper Fredberg wants to rent Puerta with an option to buy for six million euros.
The midfielder himself is also interested in leaving Leverkusen. Last season he only played 41 minutes in the Bundesliga. Puerta wants a new challenge where he can play effectively.
There is competition for Anderlecht though. PAOK, Blackburn Rovers and Brondby are also eyeing Puerta. Anderlecht will hope that a high buyout option can convince Leverkusen.
Can RSC Anderlecht convince Gustavo Puerta to come to Brussels?
For comparison: Transfer Market Puerta’s market value is estimated at three million euros. However, Xabi Alonso believes in the Colombian’s qualities and does not want to let him leave without a fight – read: cheaply.
The names of Dennis Praet and Christian Eriksen are also still being circulated at Lotto Park as potential reinforcements in midfield, although it is gradually looking like both gentlemen are not suitable for the purple and white.
