Within three hours, Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie had two million followers on Instagram. It does not draw attention to itself, but to Afghanistan.
Angelina Jolie (46 years old) is a Hollywood actress who created an Instagram account for only three hours or already had two million followers. In doing so, she broke the record for Jennifer Aniston, who had a million followers after five hours. She also holds a Guinness World Record, because no one on Instagram had a million followers as fast as she did.
Jolie does not share photos of her or her family, but she does draw attention to the situation in Afghanistan. Her first post is a letter sent to her by a teenage Afghan girl. In it, the girl says that she is afraid of the Taliban, who have recently seized power in the country. Currently, people in Afghanistan are being denied the opportunity to communicate through social media and express themselves freely. And so I come to Instagram to share their stories and make available the voices of all who are fighting for their rights around the world,” writes the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador.
Meanwhile, Jolie already has more than 7 million followers on Instagram.
