No surprises at the top of the BNXT league. Antwerp and Ostend both won their matches this evening, against Leuven and Brussels respectively. Thus, the two remain at the top of the rankings. Also see the rest of the results below.
Antwerp and Ostend won on Friday evening in the thirteenth round of the BNXT League. The two teams share the top spot in the standings with 24 points from 13 matches.
The Giants didn't have much trouble against the Leuven Bears, who were down for almost the entire game. Antwerp's guests won 67-94.
Ostend, on the other hand, did not have a clear evening to visit Brussels. The coastal team entered the first half trailing 35-32, but made up for it immediately in the following quarter (20-26).
Ostend eventually won comfortably, 64-76. American Damian Jefferson was the most productive player on the field, with 28 points.
Liege, which is in the middle of the table, surprisingly beat third-placed Limburg, which lost 82-87 despite a late recovery. Liege ranks seventh in the standings with 19 points. Limburg remains in third place with 21 points.
Bergen maintained the points at home to Mechelen, who lost 91-80. The strong start to the match (21-14) was enough for the home team to win. The visitors were unable to erase their early deficit. Bergen (15 points) remained in penultimate place in the standings, and Mechelen (20 points) remained in fourth place.
In the final match of the evening, Charleroi narrowly defeated Kortrijk 83-81. Heinautes (19 points) ranks eighth in the standings, while Kortrijk (20) ranks sixth.
