
Apple has announced some amazing new features for the iPhone and iPad. One of the most notable of these features is the Car Motion Signals, which are intended to prevent motion sickness when using your iPhone or iPad in the car.

Vehicle movement signals
According to Apple, motion sickness “results from a sensory conflict between what a person sees and what a person feels.” As a result, many people can’t use their iPhone or iPad in the car for a long time without feeling bad. Car traffic signals are designed to solve this sensory conflict. The feature does this by making the content on the screen move in real time with the car.
- “In vehicle motion signals, dots on the edge of the screen represent the vehicle’s movements. Sensors in iPhones and iPads recognize when the user is in a moving vehicle. Users can choose to turn the feature on automatically or turn it on manually each time,” Apple explains.
- This new feature will likely be available to iPhone and/or iPad users starting with iOS 18 later this year.
