Apple is postponing the return to the office for employees due to the high number of corona infections again recently. In fact, employees will be required to come to the office three days a week starting next week, but that requirement has been postponed for the time being.
For Apple employees, that means they still have to physically come to work twice a week. In a letter to employees, Apple also said that employees will once again have to wear masks in common areas, at least in Silicon Valley offices. This commitment is also reflected in the employees at the approximately 100 US Apple Stores.
The company’s steps behind the iPhone and iPad are linked to a rise in the number of coronavirus infections in the United States. But it is also known that not all Apple employees were happy with the intended employer’s return to the office.
Complaints have been made, among other things, that Apple’s plan would be detrimental to productivity. For example, some employees reported that their commute time was taking hours that they would have spent at work.
