The first new Apple product of 2023 is coming. And according to leaker Jon Prosser, that will happen tomorrow: “Watch the Apple newsroom tomorrow,” he reported on his Twitter account. Apple expert Mark Gurman also confirmed this message. There are more signs pointing in this direction.
But what is Apple’s first new product this year? Will it be the new AirPods Max, perhaps in combination with the Apple Music Classical? Or the long-awaited Apple AR / VR glasses? But no: your Mac has to be new. More specifically: a new one MacBook Pro 2023.
The first new Apple product of 2023
Apple’s unveiling in January is a rarity. At the same time, not in 22 years has Apple not introduced new Macs in the last quarter of the year – which it did in 2022. It seems that the Macs that were supposed to appear at the end of last year will still be shown tomorrow. Not at an Apple event with all the trimmings, but through a press release.

The new Apple product that will be presented on January 17 is likely to be a new MacBook Pro (14 and 16 inches). Apple registered this MacBook Pro in a Canadian database on January 11, with model number A2779, and no Mac with this model number is currently in the market. This isn’t the first time an Apple product has leaked via such mandatory registration.
A new MacBook Pro is imminent (Apple has an announcement tomorrow — with press briefings later this week and the ban lifted next Monday). The new Macs arriving early this year were reported here in October https://t.co/P34OdoMRgZhttps://t.co/9JlQ0ueBO1

MacBook Pro 2023 specifications
Don’t expect an amazing update for the MacBook Pro – otherwise Apple would have organized an event for it. The updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros are expected to have the same design as the current Mac models announced in October 2021, with only improved performance thanks to the faster M2 Pro and M2 Max chips. Makes sense too, because the MacBook Pro 2021 It has been radically renovated and therefore remains future proof.
If the Mac is announced tomorrow, it will likely be in stores next week. You can read exactly what we expect from the 2023 MacBook Pro in our profile:
