Battlefield 2042 open beta is now available for pre-download although it’s still on..

Players who want to start using Battlefield 2042 can download the beta version of the game starting today, so they can get started right away on Friday.

Those who wish to participate in Battlefield 2042 Open Beta may encounter some glitches when trying to preload it on the EA Desktop, PlayStation or Xbox app.

Previously there was an issue with preloading Origin, but this has been fixed by DICE. It looks like players couldn’t see the open beta in their library after clicking Try It Now. Again, this has been fixed, but there are a few things to keep in mind before downloading it to your PlayStation or Xbox systems.

Some users have reported that on PlayStation, the open beta version does not appear in their region on the PlayStation Store. In that case, DICE said just calmly wait for him to finally come out.

Two open betas will be shown in the Store on Xbox systems. This is because users watch both Gen 4 (Xbox One) and Gen 5 (Xbox Series X/S). A Gen 4 installation will appear as approximately 9 GB and a Gen 5 installation will appear to be approximately 17 GB. You just need to make sure you download the correct version for your Xbox.

The problem with EA Desktop is that it shows that the open beta is not available for download. DICE is investigating this, but for now you can download it on Origin or Steam until you have the files ready to use.

So far, the team has been able to fix it as those with an EA Play subscription now have the option to preload the trial. The team continues to strive for all players who use the EA Desktop app to be able to take advantage of the preload.
