Many citizens finally returned to the city, which was liberated on November 11th. Hundreds of people cheered as the train arrived and hugged their returning loved ones. “This is a symbol of freedom. Sheer luck,” said Maria Matsenko, 66, standing proudly with the Ukrainian flag.
Nicknamed “Train to Victory”, the train has been painted by many artists. After arrival there was another concert with singers and harmony singing.
