showbizIn 2019, Benjamin Sissens (22) won the ‘Belgium Talent’ award. Then he dreamed of studying film music in Hollywood. The dream has come true, he wrote on social media.
βI want to go to a certain school in Hollywood to produce film music,β Benjamin Ceyssens said in 2019, after winning Belgium Got Talent. “My big dream is that one day I will make music for a Hollywood movie and 50,000 euros will serve me well as a start.”
In July, Benjamin already told this newspaper that he had been accepted into the prestigious Los Angeles College of Music. “I tested and passed,” he said. “I’ll get advanced lessons from different composers. It’s very Nice to be accepted there. Los Angeles is the heart of the world of cinema.β The study lasts three years. βIt is a big step to move there in the next few years, but I am really happy. I may live in housing on campus. This summer I can still paint everything.”
Now that dream has become tangible. “I will travel to Hollywood at the end of January to study film music,” he announced on social media. On January 11, Benjamin will give one last concert in Belgium, at the C-Mine in Genk.
