Belfius will raise a series of prices starting July 1. Among other things, the discount for Arco co-ops will disappear. The Bank confirms what was stated in the “De Tijd” report on the price hike.
Arco cooperative members’ historic discount of 80 cents per month on checking accounts will be waived. Arco was the investment arm of what was then ACW, today doen.net. The investment was made mainly in Dexia, the predecessor of Belvius.
But starting in July, this historic discount for co-op members will disappear. The bank argues that “the discount disappears in favor of the new benefits that apply to all.”
Extra €0.5 per envelope
It has also become more expensive to send statements of checking and savings accounts. 0.5 EUR is added per envelope. Belfius – owned by the government – indicates an increased bpost rate. Paper and ink also became more expensive. For customers over the age of 70, shipping remains free.
The total amount of the Pulse White account will also be increased by one and a half euros per month. This is an account that is no longer a commercial account. Barely one percent of the accounts at Belfius are Pulse White’s.
It also became more expensive: search costs, delivery of certificates, rental of lockers.
