Murray described the incident on Being Human as a “controversy,” but declined to comment on what specifically happened or who was involved. “I did something that I thought was funny but that wasn’t interpreted that way. Then the movie studio made the right decision to investigate everything thoroughly, so the production stopped.”
According to Murray, he is also in talks with the women in question to “make peace with each other.” “We are both professionals, we are fans of each other’s work. I think we love each other too. But if you can’t get along or trust each other, there is no point in ending the movie.”
Murray, 71, admits that he struggles to adapt to changing societal norms. “It’s a lesson for me. The world is different than it was when I was a kid. What I always thought was funny when I was a kid isn’t necessarily funny now. Things change over time, and it’s important for me to understand that too. Only sad people are no longer able to learn.” I don’t want to be a sad person.”
