The price of fame? Pop star Billie Eilish made a drastic decision because she was tired of being constantly confronted with pictures of herself or with lies circulating on the internet.
From now on, you will not find social media applications on the phone of the American singer. She announced this herself in an interview with a podcast by American broadcaster Conan O’Brien. “I did not take this decision lightly,” she said. “It wasn’t an easy choice either. The Internet was ubiquitous in my teenage years. Luckily I wasn’t an iPad kid,” she said.
As the 21-year-old singer grew up, she slowly but surely saw the online life that was initially so great. “Unfortunately, I had to conclude that people also use the internet to make other people’s lives miserable. I’ve also been dealing with it since I’m famous. I also have to admit that I’m quite naive. I believe everything I read on the internet. I know I shouldn’t Because I know none of that is true. But she was stronger than me.”
All apps have been removed from the phone for several days. It is not known if there were withdrawal symptoms.
