Many BVs are in mourning following the death of Luc Vrancken, who was the head of entertainment for the Mechelen production company Roses Are Blue.
Tom Weiss and Mathias Coppens, among others, shared the news on their social media on Tuesday night. Coppins, who co-founded Roses Are Blue in 2017, knew Franken well. “Rest in peace my dear friend! You fought like the best. Time to get back on the bike and crack jokes out there! We will miss you,” he wrote on Instagram.
Tom Weiss was able to say goodbye last week to Franken, who turned 58 at the beginning of this month. “Man I always laughed with you. Always humorous, always smart, always sharp. Just last week when we said goodbye we laughed so hard again. So strong. So brave. What a warrior. We’ll take good care of your wife, and now you’re at ease. Really.” Huh!”
Franken has worked for Roses Are Blue, among other things, as Head of Production at Endemol, known for shows like Baantjer, Big Brother, Dancing with the Stars, Gooische Vrouwen And One against 100.
