Eighteen months after C&A officially closed its doors at the Hasselt Center, the fashion mogul has returned to the Limburg capital. The two-storey store, which covers an area of approximately 2,000 square meters, will reopen in September.
The reopening is a well-thought-out decision, according to C&A. “We are constantly reviewing our store portfolio to make sure we’re offering what our customers want, where they want it,” said Stephanie Schneider, Country Benelux director. “Consumer needs, as well as market conditions and the health of the local retail business are important considerations that allow us to evolve with the market. Even during our absence, Hasselt has remained an important metropolis that we watch closely. All criteria are now favorable and therefore a return to Demerstraat is inevitable. We are delighted We are very excited about this opening and we have a long-term future in Hasselt.”
The store is completely updated. Just like the other 1,180 stores in 17 European countries. “Despite the importance of e-commerce, it is clear that C&A continues to invest in brick-and-mortar stores to ensure that the shopping experience fully meets shoppers’ needs,” concludes Schneider.
