Cercle Brugge failed to qualify for the final qualifying round of the Europa League. They won 1-0 at home to Molde, but it was not enough to erase their 3-0 first leg win.
Cercle Brugge had a very tough task in qualifying for the final qualifying round of the Europa League. They suffered a 3-0 defeat in the first leg and also had to do without Utkus and Van der Bruggen.
Cercle also looked for the opening goal, but after half an hour the task became more difficult after Abu Francis received a red card. However, the faith in the association did not wane with the lack of one man.
Just before half-time, Ouattara Cercle gave the lead. Goalkeeper Boussiadala was unable to keep out Dalanda’s header well enough and Ouattara was in the right place to score.
Circle could no longer score in the second half.
Cerkel’s faith grew again to pull off a trick in the second half. With ten men, Cerkel also had the upper hand over Molde in the second half, but great chances and a second goal did not materialise.
Muslic tried to bring on Denkey and Bruninho, but Cercle could no longer score. They will go to OH Leuven on Sunday with confidence and will continue next week in the final qualifying round of the Conference League.
