This will be considered during The last days before the start.
Ciccone is the intended leader for Trek-Segafredo at the upcoming Tour of Italy, but things aren’t looking too rosy for the Italian at the moment. I already felt at the time that it was more than just Liege-Bastogne-Liege stress.β
“I can’t think of cycling at the moment, it’s just not possible”
“Out of fear I took a corona test, I didn’t want to believe its results. It’s only gotten worse since then: stuffy nose, sore throat, earache, fatigue, and I also have to cough a lot. I can’t think of cycling now, it’s not possible.” All I can do at the moment is rest in bed.”
The question now is whether Ciccone will be a good fit in time for the Giro, which will start in his home region of Abruzzo. βIt was a very good start to the season, but after months of dreaming of a great start in Abruzzo, everything is now in danger of falling apart. My heart is crying.β
