Circle to Search Music Feature Coming to Samsung Phones

Circle to Search Music Feature Coming to Samsung Phones

Samsung phones will soon get a Music in Search feature. It allows users to identify music that is on or near the device. Google recently started testing it.

Circle to Search is probably one of the most useful and practical features of the Galaxy AI, thanks to its speed and accuracy. The fact that it’s now being expanded with music recognition could prove particularly useful. So it’s a Shazam-like feature, a new part of Galaxy AI. You get the ability to listen to music playing on your device or in your immediate environment. The AI will then reportedly be able to tell you the number in question. Sam Mobile.

According to the American technology website A RedditA user reported that Circle to Search music search suddenly became available on his phone. The feature is said to be part of version 15.32.37.28 of the Google app. Other users using the same version have not seen the music search pop-up yet. So it seems that Google is rolling out the feature server-side and in stages.

Search for music in search circle

As you can see in the screenshots above, in the search circle, you’ll see a new button with a musical note icon. When you tap on that, the AI will start listening to identify the music track. This sounds very similar to Shazam, but you can reportedly even sing and hum. The AI is said to be smart enough to recognize inaccurate syllables, too.

Another advantage is that you no longer need to install third-party apps like Shazam or Soundhound on your smartphone. This is not the first time Google has released such a feature. Previously, there was Google Song Search, as part of Google Assistant. But now that the latter has been replaced by Gemini, Google may have been looking for a more advanced tool for music recognition.
