Club Brugge and more specifically Philippe Clement could make good use of the winter break to think carefully about how to get the Brugge train back on track.
Because if there’s one thing the agonizing 2-0 defeat against Cercle Brugge has shown, it’s that something desperately needs to change. So Philippe Clement has no choice but to make changes to his starting line-up.
One change is imposed. After the Brugge derby whistle, Noa Lang received a red card and was therefore suspended for the first match after the winter break at home against STVV.
The perfect replacement is already known: Canadian winger Tajon Buchanan has finally arrived in Brugge and will be ready during the winter training period to play right away. In addition, there is also the issue of Rodformer.
Midline
It seems unlikely that Clement will be able to continue playing with the Dutchman on the right. After all, it hasn’t worked out so well in recent games, in part because Former himself moved quickly (also) into the middle. And there is no place for him in the midfield, so the bench is pointing again.
