This weekend, the battle erupted again in the Jupiler Pro League. After the coach’s round show, several teams are having an exciting first day of school. Will the club win its fourth title in a row? Today – finally – the national hero in focus: Club Brugge.
Not a full reset, just a simple update. The Club Brugge team will remain intact for the time being. The midfield and attack were expanded – again – in width.
The club wants to attract more youngsters next season: Noosa, Sandra and Mbabba are keen to spend minutes at Blauw-Zwart. The new striker, Gotgla, is also relatively inexperienced. It’s a quest for the right mix with monuments like Vanaken, Mignolet, and even Vormer.
Bruges no longer appears to be dependent on Charles de Kettlery. With his head in Milan, the bottom of the small clump stayed glued to the sofa for 90 minutes during the Super Cup.
They also have to wait for the farewell party invitation for Nua Lang.
Carl Hofkins.
The choice of coaches caused a break in trend. In the past, the Club always looked for experienced men like Michel Preud’homme and Philippe Clement. Some seniority in Jupiler Pro League was the minimum requirement.
Now the national champion suddenly chooses a person who has no experience as the head coach. He’s a bear physically, but how does Karl Hofkins handle the stress mentally? It would be impossible to imagine life without it – in response to enormous expectations.
It is clear: despite the new age, the standard will be the same height. Taking the title again and appearing in Europe on the checklist. Can the club put an end to those goals?
Biggest Promotion: Kasper Nielsen
Not an easy choice, but at the expense of Ferran Gutgla and Kyle Larren, Kasper Nielsen has earned the title of greatest asset.
The Belgian football fan knows what to expect: consistency. In Union, the Danish midfielder appeared in 39 out of 40 matches. It rarely disappoints.
Ghent was also keen to incorporate Nielsen, but the union’s tastemaker could not give up his European dream. Did the Champions League anthem inspire him to raise his level even more?

Quote from the preparation
No sweat, no glory. Newcomer Ferran Gutgla embodies the Bruges logo.
“I come from a working-class family with people who work hard to bring food to the table. That’s why I sympathize so much with the club,” said a former Barcelona player in preparation.
“I think we will have a lot of success.”
