The state of Michigan is the center of the automotive industry in the United States. The long history of the automotive industry in Michigan provides a solid foundation for many companies and knowledge companies. Currently there is a transition from traditional car to new generation vehicles. Major car brands are establishing their headquarters in the region and investing in this transformation. It offers opportunities for Dutch entrepreneurs active in the field.

Attention

This business purpose focuses on new technologies in the automotive industry. The main themes of this work are smart vehicles, cooperative and autonomous (infotainment and mobility-as-a-service) and clean vehicles, drive technology (such as batteries and smart charging technology) and lightweight products.

This work is of interest to Dutch companies active in the automotive industry (SMEs, start-ups / scale-ups and corporates) and to knowledge companies involved in developing or applying new technologies for the vehicle. Occupation – Occupation. A maximum of 20 participants from 16 different organizations can participate in this work. A maximum of 2 people can participate in a company. The maximum number of participants may vary, depending on any (local) Govt restrictions.

Network encounters

During this work, various institutes, knowledge institutes and examination centers are visited. Participants can participate in roundtable discussions and networking events, such as receptions or business dinners. You will be given time to make your own appointments. Further details of the event will be announced by the organizers in the coming seasons. They take into account the specific preferences of the participants.

The application deadline is March 14, 2022. The cost for a company to participate without VAT is € 500. The price includes components of the joint venture and participation in joint local transport. Travel and accommodation expenses are at your own expense.

The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) is organizing this work on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the support of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, and in collaboration with the Dutch Embassy in Chicago, Washington and Brainford Development. The project is being developed in partnership with RAI Automotive Industry NL, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC) and the Detroit Regional Partnership.
