Seven goals in an amazing duel in Lommel
At the end of the first half it looked good for Brugge’s promises: Kiriani Sabi (8.) and Romeo Vermant (34) secured a double lead. But everything went wrong in the second half.
Lommel found extra acceleration and thanks to two goals from substitute Alonso Martinez (53 min 69 min) and a goal from Mittinho (80), the home team was able to achieve victory.
However, Club NXT will still go to Bruges by three points. Noah Mbamba equalized and in the last stage, the Brugge reserve received a helping hand from the referees. They put the ball on immediately after a drawing error occurred clearly outside the penalty area.
But in Challenger Pro League there is no VAR technology and so Vermant was able to unlock the gift from the point: 3-4. This is Club NXT’s second straight win, putting them in a hurry with Lommel in the standings.
