filmStarting July 1, the classic Titanic will be available on Netflix. There is nothing wrong with that, but the timing is not well received by everyone. This news comes less than a week after the submarine Titan exploded.
On June 22, it was announced that the five occupants of the submarine Titan died after its implosion. Titan was on his way to the wreck of the Titanic in the Atlantic Ocean. Now, the streaming service Netflix has announced that the classic movie Titanic will be available on the streaming service from July 1.
This doesn’t go well with everyone. People have died in this tragic accident at the site of the Titanic. Taking advantage of that moment to attract viewers is a no-brainer,” it appeared on Twitter, for example. “Netflix is pushing all boundaries of decency with this timing,” another wrote.
pure coincidence
As inappropriate as it may seem, it’s unlikely that Netflix would have actually decided to take advantage of the tragedy. Sources say the timing is “purely coincidental, because the licenses are set well in advance,” apparently per Variety. The deal to show Titanic on Netflix is said to have been done months ago.
Titanic will be shown in the United States and Canada from July 1st. The movie will not be available on Netflix with us.
