Mike Tresor is not among 55 pre-selected names for Roberto Martinez for the Red Devils towards the World Cup in Qatar.
On Thursday, the national coach will announce his final selection of 26 players for the World Cup in Qatar. Mike Tresor will not be there. The star in Jupiler Pro League isn’t even on the 55-player pre-selection list.
“I don’t want to criticize Roberto Martinez. It’s his choice. You have an old generation that will be rewarded with a World Cup,” Racing Genk’s Dimitri de Conde said in a statement. HLN.
“That would be disappointing, because he has the qualities for that. You might also be wondering what else Mike could do. But Brian and Mike are two men who take the future of the national team in their own hands. If they don’t qualify after the World Cup, I won’t understand.”
Coach Wouter Franken kept more work on easy. “Martinez chooses conscientiously. It is not for me to criticize that. The national coach has chosen other players like La Amozo and Duranville.
“All I can say is Mike’s numbers are there. Most importantly, he maintains his focus and continues to show his work ethic, showing that he is at the right level to be there. I don’t feel like shooting others.”
