KRC Genk are looking for talent in the transfer market to strengthen their squad for next season. According to Rwandan media, the Limburger club are close to signing Lameck Lawi.
Lawi is a Tanzanian defender who plays locally for Simba SC. The 18-year-old Lawi is already an international for Tanzania and could be brought in to join Young Genk first.
Ali Samata
KRC Genk have had good experiences with Tanzanian players with Ali Samatta. The striker was a goal-stealer for the Limburger side and they have made the move again with Lawie. The defender is said to have already arrived in Belgium to sign the contract.
KRC Genk have a new head coach in Thorsten Fink and have previously brought in Jarne Steuckers and Matte Smets from Sint-Truiden VV. However, the transfer hunger doesn’t seem to have been satiated yet. Fink is still looking for reinforcements, especially in midfield.

The head coach also plans to give youngsters a chance at KRC Genk. As previously announced in defense there is still some movement to be done. The arrival of Laue will confirm that. Furthermore, the talent Jose Kongolo is also knocking on the door.
Outgoing, Matias Galarza, Dear Ouattara and Bilal El Khannouss will leave. The latter will also play for Morocco in the Olympic Games.
