Delphine D’hulster (28) and her friend Eduard Verstraete (31 years old) started the all-inclusive concept “Indoor Cycling Boutique Club Pédale”. A unique blend of yoga nidra, personal training and indoor cycling.
This Rumbek sports couple live together in De Tassche and met seven years ago at a fitness club where Eduard provided spinning sessions. Edward smiles: “Dolphin followed me an indoor cycling course.” “She seemed to find my choice of music while spinning so contagious that she pointed it out afterwards. At that moment Cupid hit the target and the sporting spark was skipped as well.” Edward holds a college degree in sports management and was an avid sports tertiary player. Delphine holds a master’s degree in criminology and currently works as a paralegal assistant in the legal profession. The fact that they love working with people made them decide to start this unique concept together.
The body needs stimulation, but rest is just as important
body and mind
Eduard takes care of the sporting part and Delphine focuses on the lifestyle event. “We are both convinced that body and mind always go together,” says Edward. “Around my twenties I lost twenty kilos. During that time, I made a transformation in my head to choose 100% for a healthier life. Before I knew it, my life was ruled by sports. By delving into this science, lifestyle and nutrition automatically emerged.” According to Delphine, after a busy day at work, many tasks and tasks that need to be done are still on your mind. “During a Yoga Nidra session, your mind and body come to terms with each other. Specific yoga poses and breathing techniques are ideal for this. Depending on the season and your energy at the moment, the content of the lessons is built and prepared.” The Club Pédale and Glow lifestyle matches each other perfectly and is conducted in the same building. Indoor cycling focuses on intense training, while Delphine’s Sleep Yoga is extremely soothing. Sometimes the body needs a conditioned stimulus, but rest is just as important.”
Delphine also uses the energetic value of gems and crystals during her sessions. “The presence of these stones removes negative energy and creates a different dynamic in space.” Every weekday and Saturday or Sunday morning you can do it at Oekensestraat 83C in Rumbeke. (KK)
