Yesterday the movie Team Spirit II was on the VTM 4 (DPG Media) broadcast schedule. Not everyone is happy with that.
A reader of our site finds it “painful” to see Bart de Pauw in such a production.
Film expert formerly on Moviemeter: “Bart De Pauw (who co-wrote the screenplay for the first Team Spirit movie and also had a cameo there as a referee) has a cameo of a doctor in childbirth at the beginning of the movie. Not a good opening especially the very painful scene where every joke misses its target” .
Bart de Pauw was spotted two weeks ago on the streets of Antwerp, accompanied by a camera crew. “He really is doing something for Koeken Troef, but it’s too early to talk about that,” Mechelen Productions told Mediahuis.
Mediahuis: “Since De Pauw’s indictment in 2017 and subsequent conviction in 2021 for harassment and cyber nuisance, Koeken Troef has hardly received any warrants.”
Our disgruntled reader: Is showing movies with de Pauw part of a larger plan to rehabilitate 1950s convicts? This seems far fetched…
