Dutch woman takes revenge on Red Panthers in NHL

In the NHL, the Red Panthers lost for the first time in four games. The Belgian women saw the Netherlands get revenge with a 2-1 win, after losing by the same scoreline earlier this week.

There is no new trick for the Red Panthers in the NHL. On Monday they inflicted Olympic champions Netherlands their first defeat in two years, but a few days later the Dutch team got revenge.

In Amsterdam, the Netherlands won the return match over Belgium 1-2 for its people. Jippe Janssen doubled the lead before halftime, and Stephanie Vanden Borre pulled one back in the third quarter.

The Red Panthers had the upper hand at the end of the game, but were unable to find the equalizer.

The Netherlands is further away from the top of the Professional Hockey League standings, while Belgium remains in fifth place after its first defeat in 4 matches.

On Saturday, the Belgian women’s hockey team will play their 16th and final match against Great Britain, No. 7.
