Energy supplier Elexys halts activities in Wallonia and Brussels

The energy price crisis forced the West Flemish energy supplier to companies, Elexys, to stop its activities as an energy supplier in the Walloon and Brussels regions. Elexys said in a press release Friday morning that the emergency supplier will take over the power supply.

Founded in 2010, Elexys specializes in the supply of gas and electricity to companies and industries in Belgium.

The company is forced to stop in Wallonia and Brussels “due to geopolitical tensions, conflict in Ukraine and uncertain gas supplies.” She added, “The prices of gas and electricity have reached levels that no one expected.”

Elexys says energy suppliers are also under additional pressure from consumers who are struggling to pay their bills on time.

Guaranteed power supply. Customers will automatically continue to deliver from the emergency resource until they choose a new supplier.
