Next Friday, Nintendo will release a new Nintendo Switch exclusive, a Nintendo Switch remake of a beloved classic called Mario RPG that was released in 1996 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES).

Nintendo has now released a 5-minute trailer for the Super Mario RPG. In this alleged trailer, Nintendo attempts to briefly cover all of the game’s main features in just a few minutes, including level exploration, story, combat, RPG mechanics, party members, unique character skills, improvements over the original, cinematics, mini-games and more. .

In 1996, Nintendo and JRPG experts Square-Enix teamed up to develop the Super Mario RPG for the SNES. The game was well received and successful, but no sequel, remaster or remake was ever released. Nintendo wanted to make all of the Mario projects in the sequel themselves. After much demand and players giving up hope, Nintendo suddenly announced last summer that there would be a complete remake of the Super Mario RPG. In this game, playable characters Mario, Peach, and Bowser go on an adventure to repair the Star Road.

Fans won’t have to wait long to start playing Super Mario RPG. The game will be available exclusively for Nintendo Switch starting November 17, 2023. The Super Mario RPG will likely be Nintendo’s last big game of the year.
