televisionThe Gooris travel again. In a new season of Expedition Jores, Sam (50), his son Kenji (21), daughter Shania (22), and Kelly Pfaff (45) go to Japan. It will be a special holiday, especially for Sam’s 50th birthday. “It’s his dream to go to Japan,” Kelly tells “Het Nieuwsblad”.
The family is traveling to the other side of the world this summer. So Japan is the ultimate dream destination for Sam, who turned 50 on April 10th. “I already had a big budget for a birthday party. I thought he’d definitely want to. He even said he’d rather see his dream come true: a trip to Japan. By spending the money on this now, we can make it happen,” Kelly explains to “Het Nieuwsblad.”
The private flight path is now more or less flat. Good for 1,060 kilometers of fun in Japan. Kelly is still at a loss for the moment to plan. You prepare well by looking at the activities that the family definitely wants to do. “We are different personalities, and everyone has their own preferences. One likes to relax, another likes adventure. And another person likes to have something to do, but it shouldn’t take more than half an hour,” it sounds like in “Het Nieuwsblad”.
In the first season of “Expedition Gooris”, the four of them travel across Europe. At that time, Sam, Kenji, Shania and Kelly stopped at places that were important to them. For example, they visited Germany, Italy and Croatia. For the second season they went to the West Coast of the United States. The third season, which will take place in Japan, will air in the spring of 2024.
In total, the quartet takes a family trip five times. But that doesn’t automatically mean that every holiday is followed by a TV crew. “For me and I, it’s obvious, it’s part of the job. But Kenji and Shania can decide up to six months in advance whether or not they want cameras,” says Kelly.
