Red Bull Racing is currently facing a difficult situation. After all, team owner Red Bull is still conducting an independent investigation into Christian Horner for possible inappropriate conduct. Future engine partner Ford is following closely.
Red Bull opened an independent investigation a few weeks ago into Horner's inappropriate behavior. It is still unclear what exactly he did. According to De Telegraaf, the matter concerns sexually explicit messages from Horner to a female employee. Horner denied it and was “only” present at the RB20 launch in Milton Keynes, still working for the team.
From 2026, Red Bull will team up with Ford. Together they are developing a power source for the new rules for 2026. At Ford, they are also monitoring the current situation surrounding Horner. “As a company we have very high standards for conduct and integrity and we expect the same from our partners. We've been told that Red Bull takes this matter very seriously,” Mark Rushbrook, president of Ford Motorsport, explained to AP News. “We are concerned about their reputation. That is why they are conducting an independent investigation and it is too early to say anything now.”
