Two former soldiers of Russia’s notorious mercenary army, Wagner, have admitted in an interview with Russian human rights organization Gulagu.net to having committed horrific war crimes in Ukraine. “I shot a 5-year-old girl in the head,” one of them testified. and the two soldiers, Azmat Uldarov and Alexei Savichev, former prisoners. They were recruited by Wagner’s chief Yevgeny Prigozhin and ended up on the Ukrainian front line. The two are pardoned for their services. They are currently residing in Russia.
In an interview with Gulagu.net founder Vladimir Usychkin, the soldiers admitted that they had committed several heinous war crimes in Ukraine. They reveal horrific details of when they killed more than 20 Ukrainian children and teens and blew up a well containing 60 infected prisoners. All this they had to do on the orders of Prigozhin.
look. Explanation: Who are the Russian mercenaries of Wagner?
“finish everyone”
In the interview, Uldarov said that Wagner’s chief had demanded that the men “completely clean up” the cities of Pashmut and Solidar in eastern Ukraine. The entire population – including women, children and the elderly – had to be exterminated at any cost.
She was screaming, she was a little girl, about 5-6 years old. And she was shot in the head. I wasn’t allowed to let anyone down. no one.
Uldarov confesses that he killed a 5-year-old girl. “She was screaming, she was a little girl, about 5-6 years old. And I shot her in the head.” The soldier says he had to clear the basement of an apartment building, which is home to about 400 Ukrainian citizens. About 40 of them were children. The Russians claim he “had no choice”. I wasn’t allowed to let anyone down. no one. We were ordered to get rid of everyone,” it seems. “We killed everyone: women and men, pensioners and children, especially the young ones.” According to Aldarov, the atrocities took place last month.
The Russians also admitted that Wagner members regularly practice how to kill Ukrainian soldiers. “With a knife. We cut their throats and film them. When Prigozhin said to use a hammer, we took one and killed someone with it. This is his method. “He is a terrible person,” Oldarov said of Wagner’s chief.
Teenagers are not citizens
Savichev also admitted that he shot “more than twenty” Ukrainian teenagers in total. “The peaceful residents are out. We had an order to shoot everyone 15 and over at one time. More than twenty people were shot. At least ten of them were between the ages of 15 and 17. When asked how many unarmed civilians the Russians had killed, he replied that 15-year-old Ukrainians “are hard to call civilians.”
Savichev also tells about how he and other Wagner fighters threw grenades into a ditch, into which about 60 wounded prisoners were thrown. “They were breathing, so they were alive, but they weren’t screaming,” said Savichev.
During the 77-minute interview, neither soldier regretted their actions. More than that, Uldarov emphasized that he would like to return to the front to continue fighting against the Ukrainians.
