Epic Games’ still-popular battle royale game Fortnite has been on hold for more than 7 hours on Wednesday evening. Meanwhile, server issues were resolved.
Devoted players will agree: Fortnite has been dealing with recurring server issues regularly over the past two weeks. With a 7 hour breakdown last night as a low point. The problems started on Wednesday evening at around 5pm Belgian time. The game’s servers remained offline, “due to stability issues,” according to a Fortnite Twitter account. There have also been reports around the world of problems logging into the Epic Games Store.
More than 7 hours later, Epic Games announced that the problems had been resolved. It appears that Fortnite has been struggling with capacity or scalability issues since Chapter 3 began this month. In addition, there is currently a Winterfest event where players will be rewarded for their time in the game and for completing additional missions. Consider new shapes or other additional items. Earlier this month, Epic had to admit it was having trouble distributing these extra gifts and there were regular – albeit brief – downtimes and game crashes.
To please players, Epic tweeted yesterday that the company will provide details “on how to make up for lost time” next week.
