The fifth “Indiana Jones” movie took a long time to make. The fourth part of the “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” saga dates back to 2008. There are several reasons why it took so long to record the fifth part – and possibly the final too. At first, the film studio gave priority to the new “Star Wars” movie. In addition, several scenarios were reviewed. Normally, Steven Spielberg would direct as well, but he eventually passed the torch on to James Mangold.
Also, the packaging of the publications was not as expected. Due to the Corona pandemic, delays piled up, then protagonist Harrison Ford (79) also suffered a shoulder injury. In the end, the release was delayed for a year. But next year it’s finally time. The fifth installment of the saga will be released in theaters on June 30, 2023.
