Finally, vaccination is also made possible for all children aged 5 to 11 years. So far, only children at risk of developing severe forms of the disease can be vaccinated.

The new measures are much less extensive than the restrictions announced during previous Corona waves. “This is not the time for visitor numbers, curfews or lockdowns. This would be disproportionate,” the prime minister said.
