What has been in the making for a while is now official. Joseph Paintsil (26 years old) closes the door at Racing Genk and embarks on the American adventure at LA Galaxy. The winger signs a four-year contract. In Limburg, about 8.5 million euros will be raised.
Joseph Paintsil has been flirting with LA Galaxy for a while now, and from today the two will also enter into a partnership.
KRC Genk sees the departure of their third strongman, after losing Daniel Muñoz and Gerardo Arteaga in January. Nearly 9 million euros is the compensation they receive in Limburg.
“Joseph has been an important member of one of the best clubs in Belgium and one of the most prominent national teams in Africa in recent years,” his new employer said.
“We are pleased to announce that he will join LA Galaxy,” club president Will Kuntz said. “We look forward to adding such dynamism to our group at the peak of his career and for him to be a key figure in our pursuit of our next titles.”
