Santa Monica Studio, known for the God of War series, currently has a brand new franchise in the works. This is evident from developer Glauco Longhi’s updated LinkedIn profile. The man is working as a character supervisor on a brand new project in a new franchise.
Cory Barlog, a studio veteran and director of the God of War reboot, is said to be in charge of the project. Many details of the game are unknown, but development of the project is progressing smoothly. The role of the character supervisor suggests that development has already moved beyond the planning stage.
Longi writes on his page LinkedIn Profile He is excited to be returning to Santa Monica Studios as a character supervisor. In this role, he is given control over the show and the personal growth of all the characters (Personal development) within this new project.
Given that Santa Monica Studios, like Naughty Dog, makes excellent single-player narrative games, we’re betting that the developer’s next title will offer a similar experience.
Rumors in the past have suggested that the new project will be the next release from Santa Monica Studios. Unfortunately, very little is known about the game, so there’s not much to say about it at the moment.
We hope Sony will make the reveal soon.
