Live captions option has been added in the new beta version of Google Meet video chat software. Translate users into a different language as they speak. There is currently no option available for the Dutch language.
With this feature, the spoken words are first transcribed into the original language, and this transcription is then translated via Google Translate. according to google Translated translation helps remove the language barrier during international calls, making meetings more effective in the future.
The feature is only available with Google Workspace Business Plus, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and Teaching & Learning Upgrade plans. In addition, in the current beta version, it is only possible to translate from English, and Dutch is not among the languages that can be translated. It has not been announced when and if the Dutch translation option will be available.
Last year, Google already added a live caption option To the translation app, which allows users to instantly record audio which is then translated.
