Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick indicated during a recent investor conference call that the highly anticipated open-world game GTA 6 is still scheduled for release in 2025.
There have been rumors that GTA 6 has been delayed and that the release may have been pushed back to 2026. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick says that GTA 6 is simply scheduled to be released in the fall of 2025. With this, the CEO seems to be hinting that development is on schedule and that the game will simply meet its previously announced release date.
“The Grand Theft Auto series has exceeded our expectations with continued momentum leading to the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 in the fall of 2025.”

There are no Take-Two Interactive games in the works for Xbox Game Pass.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick also became CEO. He asked On potential day one releases on Xbox Game Pass. Zelnick has already indicated in the past that he wasn’t a huge fan of Xbox Game Pass and that it didn’t make sense for him to release a full-priced game on Xbox Game Pass on day one. He understands why Microsoft does this with Xbox Game Studios titles to attract more subscribers. Putting a game like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, which could potentially sell 20 million copies on Xbox Game Pass on day one, would undoubtedly boost membership, according to Zelnick. As for day one releases of Take-Two Interactive games on Xbox Game Pass, Zelnick says it’s rational. It’s not going to happen.
“I think that offering a front-end address at a premium price in a subscription service, by day and date, will drive consumers to that subscription service for a while at least. “No, it won’t affect our decisions, because our decisions are rational.”
