Heartstopper Cast Want Their Share Of Success And Demand Higher Pay For Season 3 | television

televisionThe second season of “Heartstopper” turned out to be just as successful as the first. The Netflix series already has a loyal fanbase for the young cast. This means the cast is becoming increasingly popular and they now want to be paid for it, The Sun writes.

‘Heartstopper’ stars Joe Locke and Kate Connor are said to have signed on for three seasons. After that, Netflix can consider its position. An insider told The Sun that the actors were all anonymous when they got their roles in the series. They signed contracts that were almost worth nothing because no one knew if the series would be a hit or not. In addition, the series was produced on a low budget.

“The contracts guarantee that the actors will stay connected to the series for three seasons. If the first season comes out and there is a second season, which it does, wages will go up by 5 percent. For the third season it’s about 10 percent. But even with a 10 percent increase, the Staff members get only a fraction of what they should.

“Marvel” and the movies and “Doctor Who”

Since the series debuted, the cast has been a hit. For example, Joe has a role in the Marvel series “Agatha: Coven of Chaos,” while Kit will appear in two films after signing with Hollywood agency WME. Heartstopper also stars Yasmine Feeney, who will have a major role in the upcoming Doctor Who series.
