Christian Eriksen’s name has been floating around at Anderlecht for some time now. But what actually happened?
Christian Eriksen is entering the final year of his contract at Manchester United, but is looking to get playing time. He has already been linked with several clubs, including RSC Anderlecht.
Gaz van Antwerp asked Anderlecht sporting director Jasper Vredeberg how realistic it was for Eriksen to arrive at Lotto Park. It seemed “difficult to say”.
However, Friedberg wants to put forward an important point first. “I’ve never mentioned Christian Eriksen’s name myself, but of course I know Christian. He’s a top player and he still has another year under contract with a top club.
A move seems unlikely, but Friedberg isn’t ruling it out. “So there are a lot of circumstances to consider. It doesn’t seem realistic at the moment, but… if a door suddenly opens, I want to be the first one in.”
If Man United want to earn €5m, will Anderlecht join the bandwagon? “Good question. Then I would have to call some bosses. It’s not just about what Man United are asking for, but in such a case it would also be about the player’s salary requirements.
