dartsKim Huybrechts (PDC-35) was the best Belgian dartsman at the 3-players tournament in Wigan, England, in the eighth final. For a place in the quarter-finals, he had to acknowledge his superiority in young Irishman Barry Keane (PDC-68). Stage win was prey to Joe Cullen (PDC-11)
The 35-year-old from Antwerp beat Stu Wilson (PDC-111) 6-3 in the first round, after which Steve Haggerty sent out 6-4 in the second. In the third round, German Max Hope (PDC-63) was defeated 6-4. Against 19-year-old Keane, “The Hurricane” never entered the game. It was a dry match 6-0.
Dimitri van den Berg (PDC-9), Mario Vandenbojerde (PDC-111) and Brian Raman (PDC-107) advance to the second round, but have to withdraw. Mike de Decker (PDC-61) and Geert de Vos (PDC-81) didn’t make it past the first round.
England’s Joe Cullen (PDC-11) won the tournament by defeating Australian Damon Heta (PDC-28) 8-4 in the final. It’s Colin’s second title of the season after winning all the Masters.
