Wasland prevention consultant Anne de Medelaer, 55, has beaten cervical cancer, thyroid cancer and lung metastases. But the disease still affected her life: after her second cancer diagnosis, she became gluten intolerant. Eating out now requires more attention and expense: “You'd be shocked at the cost of granola per kilogram, but at least I know I'm putting my health first and not eating gluten.”
