Amethyst Amelia Kelly, better known as Iggy Azalea, is recovering from major back surgery. Do you want to hear a crazy story? I was supposed to fly to Australia to shoot a movie, but just before I left I underwent what I thought would be a “fairly normal comeback operation.” “The surgery will solve the problems I went through after I I toured with an injury for two summers in a row.”
But it soon became apparent that it was not an “everyday operation”. “I had complications with my recovery, which left me bedridden. As many as a million machines were hooked up and I was in so much pain that there were three days that I don’t remember at all.” She says she quickly became very weak. “I haven’t walked in three weeks, except to use the bathroom (which is a completely different ordeal). You’d be shocked to see how weak you are when you’re not actually moving. It’s going really fast.”

Fortunately, the singer also had good news to report. “A week ago, I got permission to get up and start moving again. I will be 100% back. My goal is to be healthy by Christmas.” Iggy is optimistic and grateful for her recovery. “I am thankful that I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. After that I will work seriously on my fitness. I appreciate my body in a whole new way after this experience.” She plans to keep her followers updated. “Keep everyone healthy and pay close attention to what your body is telling you. I’ll let you know how it goes in a few weeks.”
