On Saturday 8 June, IKEA is organizing the largest flea market in Belgium: eight flea markets will be held simultaneously in the parking lots of all Belgian IKEA stores. Thanks to this initiative, the Swedish furniture chain wants to encourage consumers with a new way to give their furniture and other items a longer life.
IKEA welcomes everyone to “Belgium's largest flea market” to sell no longer used items, get good deals or just wander around.
The flea market will take place on Saturday 8 June in the parking lots of the eight IKEA Belgian branches in Anderlecht, Arlon, Ghent, Hasselt, Liège, Bergen, Wilrijk and Zaventem.
This initiative is in line with the Swedish furniture chain's commitment to improving the daily lives of as many people as possible by providing a pleasant and affordable home environment, while encouraging circular and sustainable consumption.
All types of furniture and objects can be sold regardless of their size or brand. Entrance to the event is free for visitors.
Exhibitors must reserve their places online before June 2. For this they pay a contribution of 5 euros, which will be donated to Welcome Home, an IKEA Belgium project that supports vulnerable single-parent families.
